16 Feb 2017 - A visit to the Design Museum in London raised so many questions.
Visiting the Design Museum in London this weekend, we found this self-made open-sourced kit for domestic keyhole surgery called OpenSurgey. Developed by Frank Kolkman a student at the Royal College of Art and the Kyoto Institute for Technology, to find a more accessible alternative to expensive health services.
The project was inspired by YouTube videos of uninsured Americans who perform operations on themselves, rather than meeting the expense of a healthcare professional.
OpenSurgery is not intended for use, but to start a debate. It has definitely achieved that goal within the Innovatemedtec's team.
