04 Jan 2017 - The NHS requires future leaders to be able to develop ideas to allow the improvement of clinical practice and utilise technology as a mechanism to drive change and efficiency through innovation.
Barts X Medicine is a digital health course for medical students. Barts and the London would be the first medical school in the UK and probably the first in the world to undertake this initiative for all students and to be embedded in the curriculum.
Innovatemedtec (IMT) is proud to be part of this programme created by Dr Shafi Ahmed, the virtual surgeon, and delivered by a world-class faculty that includes IMT's CEO Dr Cristina De Juan. In addition, IMT will run a hackathon for the medical students together with the BMJ (formerly known as the British Medical Journal) an international peer reviewed medical journal and a fully online first publication.
The course will take the students thorugh a journey with the aim to produce future leaders in the NHS who will understand the potential for new technologies and innovation. To learn more visit here.
